We have now taken delivery of large quantities of Brad Penn High Performance Oil. This oil was selected by Houston Engine and Balancing due to its dependability during engine dyno testing. The Brad Penn High Performance Oil, green oil, contains higher levels of anti-wear (zinc) and enhanced film strength. This unique oil clings persistently to engine parts to minimize wear during high engine torque loading and/or periods of heavily stressed operation. April 3rd, 2011
Tommy Costales, owner of Houston Engine and Balancing, returns to the winner circle after a win at Royal Purple Raceway. After a long career in Super Comp and Super Gas, look for Tommy to debut his 66 Corvette in Super Street later this year. As mentioned earlier, everyone at Houston Engine and Balancing remains enthusiastic about the 2011 racing season. March 20th, 2011
Chris LeBlanc drove his Houston Engine and Balancing 67 Corvette to a second National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) national win this weekend at the JEGS Cajun SPORTSnationals. Chris's first NHRA national event win came less than a year after he and his father, Jim LeBlanc, resurrected the old Corvette. It's only fitting that Chris was able to take home the big Wally on his mom's birthday. In the final, Chris posted a 10.904 elapsed time for the win at 145.19 MPH.

February 20th, 2011
In a continuation of the previous year, Ray Todd continues his stellar driving and wins an International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Nitro Jam. This win moves Ray one step closer to his opportunity at the IHRA Sportsman World Championship. The Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions will take place at the World Finals at the conclusion of the Summit Pro-Am and Nitro Jam seasons. Everyone at Houston Engine and Balancing wishes the best to Ray and his wife Mary.

February 19th, 2011
All of us at Houston Engine and Balancing Service have been extremely busy building custom race engines for the start of the 2011 race season. The early outstanding results from our customers give signs to a great 2011. Of course, the start of year would not quite feel the same without a final round competition between Bart Nelson and Donny Burleson. Even though Bart seems to come out on top for these matchups, it continues to be Donny who takes the track championships. It will be very interesting to see what the next rematch final looks like between these highly competitive Houston Engine and Balancing customers.
